Dear Coral Reef Supporter,

In 2000, CORAL’s founder Stephen Colwell faced a dilemma. Coral reefs were dying and people were unaware of the threats facing reefs. They didn’t know about the tragic loss of habitat or what could be done to stop it.

In an innovative and cost-effective plan, Stephen joined forces with the Earth Day Network and other partners to create Dive In To Earth Day—the marine component of Earth Day. With your help his plan to raise awareness is working!

Because of the motivation of people like you, this program has involved 358,250 people in local marine conservation events. In addition, world trends in coral reef news reporting are increasing. Since 2000, news reports concerning coral reefs have almost doubled. You are helping bring the importance of coral reefs to the minds of thousands.

So, help Stephen get the word out this Earth Day—April 22nd—and participate in Dive In To Earth Day. There are many ways to help. Find a way that suits you!

Thank You,
Brian Huse, Executive Director
