Internet Protocol Address
An Internet Protocol (IP) address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer when you use the Internet. We collect an IP address from all visitors to our Web site. We use IP addresses to help diagnose problems with our server, administer our Web site, analyze usage trends, track user interactions with our Web site, gather broad demographic information for aggregate use in improving our Web site, and deliver customized, personalized content. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.
Cookies are small files sent from a web server to your computer through your browser program.
CORAL does not use cookies to obtain any personally identifiable information such as information about other Web sites that you may have visited.
A non-persistent cookie may be used to store some history about the parts of our Web site that you have visited to help you navigate our Web site more easily, to alert you to related pages that may interest you, and to compile anonymous, aggregated statistics that allow us to understand how our Web site is used and to improve its usability. This cookie is automatically deleted from your machine when you close your browser. Because these cookies are necessary to provide some functions, failure to allow such cookies may make some of the functions on our Web site unavailable to you.
In general, when you visit our Web sites and access information, you remain anonymous. We do not require you to register or provide personal information to us to view our Web site.
There are occasions when we will ask for additional information. We do this to better understand and respond to your needs, and provide you with services that may be valuable to you. For example, personally identifiable information will be collected in order for you to subscribe to E-Current, CORAL’s electronic newsletter.
Our registration forms may require users to give us contact information, such as name, e-mail address, e-mail format preference (HTML vs. plain text), physical address, interests, and similar information. We do not request or store sensitive information from our visitors, such as social security numbers.
On a selective basis, personally identifiable information is made available to organizations whose postal mailings and products we think you will find of interest. You have the right to opt out of these mailings and our sharing of your information. Whether or not you choose to share your information will have no impact on any of your interactions with us, either online or offline. CORAL never shares your e-mail address with outside organizations.
You may opt out of having your contact information shared by using the online Opt Out form. [9]
