More Ways to Donate

There are many ways to support the work CORAL is doing to create Coral Reef Sustainable Destinations (CRSD [1]) in local communities around the world. In addition to becoming a CORAL member [2] or making a financial donation [3], you can contribute in the following additional ways.

  • Workplace Giving [4]
  • Stock Gifts & Estate Planning [5]
  • In-Kind Donations [6]
  • Tribute & Memorial Gifts [7]

Workplace Giving

Many companies conduct annual giving campaigns that allow employees to make charitable contributions to organizations of their choosing. Talk to someone in your human resources department to find out whether such a program exists at your company.

If you work for the federal government, you can donate through your workplace simply and easily through the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC). During your office's next fund drive, please designate CORAL (CFC # 10418) as your beneficiary.

Enjoy Annual Member Benefits
When you join CORAL today, you will receive:

  • A full-color wall calendar featuring stunning underwater photography contributed by world-renowned photographers.
  • A one-year subscription to our quarterly print newsletter, the CORAL Current.
  • The option to subscribe to CORAL's free electronic newsletter, E-Current.
  • The satisfaction of knowing that you are doing your part to build healthy reefs for generations to come.

Stock Gifts & Estate Planning

Give Gifts of Stock, Bonds, and Mutual Fund Shares
If you own securities that have increased in value since their purchase more than twelve months ago, you may be able to avoid capital gains taxes this year by contributing the securities to CORAL instead of cash. You will receive the charitable income tax deduction for the full market value of the asset.

Remember CORAL in Your Estate Planning
Whether you wish to include CORAL as a beneficiary in your will or living trust, or name CORAL in your life insurance policy, your bequest is a thoughtful and long-term gift that supports the protection of coral reefs. We recommend that you consult with your tax advisor or attorney on issues regarding your will or trust to determine the most appropriate bequest gift for your circumstances.

Please Note: The information provided on our website is not intended to be used in lieu of professional tax or legal advice. Please consult a qualified tax advisor or attorney before you make your gift.
