Oceanwatch is a private, nonprofit organization devoted to conserving oceans and marine life through education and citizen action. Oceanwatch advocates for funding and enhanced authority for domestic and international coral reef protection programs. Through joint programs and cooperative partnerships, Oceanwatch expands public and private efforts to conserve ocean resources, including coral reefs. Protect the Living Reef is a major outreach and education program to promote Low-Impact snorkeling and diving and responsible use of coral reef resources by the tourism industry.
