1. UPDATE: MOORING PROJECT COMPLETED IN NAMENA, FIJI
Together, we helped stop anchor damage along one of Fiji's most precious reefs. Dive operators, resorts, and liveaboard cruises all volunteered time and resources to install the moorings despite rough seas, see the pictures...

2. HEALTHY REEFS AND HEALTHY OCEANS IN FLORIDA
This May, CORAL worked with the Florida DEP to help save some of Florida's last remaining reefs. Studies show that 80% of people living on the southeast coast of Florida are not aware that there are coral reefs in Florida or that they are threatened. CORAL trained tourism businesses, government agencies, and universities on how to better educate the public about their local reefs. Participants will be using CORAL's new Sustainable Marine Recreation resource guide to implement their plans for raising awareness in the area...

3. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED IN UTILA, HONDURAS
The Bay Islands Conservation Association (BICA), needs research assistants and environmental educators. This four-week volunteer project features fish or bird monitoring, or teaching environmental education classes in local schools. Divers and non-divers needed...

4. AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH: THE MOVIE
There is no doubt that the effects of global warming are deadly to coral reefs. Massive bleaching and destruction in the Caribbean this summer has been attributed to an increase in sea temperatures. Help spread the word. Al Gore's new documentary on global warming made a splash at the Sundance Film Festival, calling it a "gripping story with a visually mesmerizing presentation that is activist cinema at its very best."
