A Farewell Message from Executive Director Brian Huse

Dear Friends,

After eight wonderful years as CORAL's executive director, it is with mixed emotions that I write to let you know that I have resigned from my position. I have very much enjoyed my time at CORAL, and I am proud of the direction the organization has taken during my tenure.

This decision was not made lightly, and I have carefully considered the best interests of the organization. I feel that I have accomplished what I set out to do in making CORAL a leader in international coral reef conservation, and I am confident that the time is right to hand over the reins to a new leader who will build on our successes and ultimately grow the organization.

As you know, coral reefs need our help now—and CORAL's approach to coral reef conservation works. Our major limitation is financial resources. I believe that with the help of a new executive director, we have the opportunity to expand our work and make the greater positive impact on coral reef ecosystems that we know is necessary.

The board of directors has already begun a search for CORAL's next leader. In the meantime, I leave behind an excellent team that is ready and willing to move this organization forward. I, too, am committed to doing whatever I can to help.

Thank you for being a part of CORAL. Your support is one of the many reasons I am confident that we can look forward to an exciting future for the organization.
