CORAL Executive Director Speaks at Marin Scuba Club
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
San Francisco, CA - February 10, 2009 - Brian Huse, executive director of the Coral Reef Alliance (CORAL), will speak at the monthly meeting of the Marin Scuba Club on Wednesday, February 18, at 7:30PM.
In his talk, Building Healthy Coral Reef Communities, Huse will reveal the true threats endangering coral reefs worldwide and discuss how CORAL's method of uniting local community members to build strong marine protected areas is the best chance we have to save our reefs.
CORAL is the only international organization that works exclusively to save the planet's coral reefs. It builds grassroots partnerships among local communities, government leaders, marine recreation operators, and park managers to identify and solve conservation challenges through education, training, and effective management of marine protected areas.
The Marin Scuba Club was founded in 1993. Its monthly meetings are held at the Seafood Peddler, located at 100 Yacht Club Drive in San Rafael (415-460-6669).
