Reaping Fruits Of Hard Work

The people of Kubulau, Bua which consists of ten villages have patiently taken each step to achieve one of its objectives - higher education and success for their children. It was finally fulfilled a decade later when two of its young people graduated from two local institutions recently. Their education was partially funded by a scholarship that was made possible when they set aside part of their traditional qoliqoli or fishing ground as "Tabu area" or marine protected area (MPA). CORAL is one of the non-government organizations that has been assisting the people of Kubulau fulfill its objectives.
