Voluntary Rules Sought For Reef Protection 5/28/08

Residents are beginning to create voluntary standards for recreational and commercial ocean activities to prevent overuse and misuse of coral reefs. The effort is being facilitated by Coral Reef Alliance, a nonprofit organization that works with communities to identify and solve conservation challenges; change attitudes and behavior through education and training; provide resource to strengthen marine protected areas and create sustainable tourism incentives.
