They can earn as much or more by using nets and the quality of the fish is much higher. Video shows a fishermen who is using a net catching method and describes each step. Also shows locals making nets and a dead reef as a result of cyanide fishing. Cyanide is illegal to use for fishing since 1975 but not heavily enforced. This shows a proactive approach to the problem.
