Hands on Activities for Primary School Students: An Activity Book for Teachers to Supplement the National Curriculum

Lesson plans that aim to develop students knowledge and appreciation for different ecosystems in Belize. Some lesson plans (such as endangered species, pollution, and wetlands) highlight human impacts and man's dependence on healthy ecosystems. A few activities encourage participation and establish a connection to students immediate environment such as tree planting and researching pesticides used in their homes. Suitable for Standard One to Standard Six levels of Primary School. ␍␍Contents: common plants, bird watching, plant communities, endangered species, water, interrelationships among living things, camouflage and mimicry, predator and prey, insects, wetlands, seeds and their dispersal, the food chain, photosynthesis, pollution, bird migration, exotic species.
