NOAA Paleoclimatology Program
The NOAA Paleoclimatology Program of the National Climatic Data Center is a central source for paleoclimatic data, research, and information. It hosts the ICSU World Data Center for Paleoclimatology. NOAA Paleoclimatology promotes worldwide sharing of scientific data and information regarding climatic and environmental variability, supporting the scientific goals of programs including IPCC, IGBP PAGES, WCRP CLIVAR, and NOAA's Climate and Global Change Program. Our mission is to provide the paleoclimatic data and information needed to understand and model interannual to centennial scale environmental variability. , , Coral reef data includes a variety of past climatic and environmental data from corals and sclerosponges, as well as data on growth rates of corals.
