The GCRMN South Asia works in India, Sri Lanka and the Maldives. Our essential aim is to ensure that information produced is used to effectively inform and influence international, national and local management and poilicy. We do this with a focus on 4 areas:, , Guidance _ To provide a framework that ensures that actions taken at a global level are informed by conditions at the local level. , , Co-ordination _ To create the structure and mechanism to coordinate the production and dissemination of information, through the creation of networks and training initiatives. , , Communication _ To facilitate the horizontal and vertical flows of information through the network., , Support _ To provide human and institutional strengthening. , , ,
