Island Resources Foundation
Island Resources is an environmental NGO founded in St. Thomas in 1972, with additional offices in the British Virgin Islands and Washington, DC (which serves as the communication base for the Foundation). Island Resources has always addressed mitigation of the environmental impacts of development in small tropical islands. Areas of special expertise include biodiversity conservation planning, coastal zone and watershed management, and the application of information management technologies to small island sustainable development issues.
